General Information

General Information (11)

Welcome to the St. Mary's Auction Website!

We hope that this will be a great tool for the organization of this and future auctions.  The goal is to have all the information for the auction in one, easily accessible location, so that knowledge can be shared between committees, not only now, but in the future.  This is your tool to change and expand as you see fit.  Have fun!

When you first log-in, you land on this page.  Along the top of the page are menu items for each of the current committees.  Clicking on them will take you to a dedicated page for that committee.  Each committee page will contain information and options that are specific to that committe.  We can add whatever additional information or actions you may want.

On the right side of this page is a list of upcoming events.  You can see all the events also by clicking on the Calendar Menu Item.  You can add an event yourself by either clicking the + when hovering over the top right corner of a calendar day, or by clicking "Add Event" on the Planning menu on the left side of the screen.  Events can be edited once opened by clicking on the pencil located at the top right corner.

On the left side of the page is a menu of planning actions such as adding an event, or printing auction documents. The "Download Documents" option will allow you to download documents from past auctions, such as item list, buyer lists, etc.  I only have last year's information so far, but hope to go back at least the last 5 years.

At the bottom of this page is a listing of recent posts to the discussion board.  You can also see the discussions by clicking on the discussion menu item in the main menu, or join the discussion by clicking on a post and leaving a reply.  Each committee has separate discussion boards to keep from having to weed through items in which you aren't interested. Using these discussion boards will document ideas and decisions so that they can be referred to in the future.  It's hard to go back and find emails from a year ago.

Registered website users also now have access to an online community for auction committee members and workers.  You can access this using the Community menu item, or the My Menu on the left sidebar.  This is a work in progress, so let me know what needs to be fixed or added.  Feel free to add groups as needed.

Also, every once in a while, you may get an error screen that pops up.  This is an issue with GoDaddy who currently hosts the site.  If this occurs, either refresh the screen, or hit the back arrow and it should be fine.  A few times, I have had to hit refresh twice.

Finally,  if you find something on the website that doesn't work, needs to be added, or you think needs changing, post a comment on the website help or general information discussion boards.  These will automatically send me an notification so that I can respond as quickly as possible.

Post any questions to the discussion board and I'll get back with you as soon as I can.

Thanks, and good luck!
